Daypacks
What is a daypack?
Photos & demonstrations coming soon
A daypack is the workhorse of the bag world — designed for a single day of activity without specialised requirements. They sit in the 15–30L range, carry enough for a day out without committing to the structure of a hiking pack or the organisation depth of an EDC bag. The best daypacks are invisible: they carry what you need, distribute weight acceptably, and don't slow you down. They thrive as all-purpose bags for school, short hikes, day trips, and casual travel.
Signs of a quality daypacks
- 15–30L volume — enough for a day, not more
- Padded laptop sleeve (most modern daypacks)
- Comfortable back panel and shoulder straps for 4–6 hours
- External water bottle pocket
- Simple main compartment without over-engineered organisation
Not the right type if…
You're going overnight, carrying heavy technical gear, or need a bag that does a specific job very well. Daypacks are generalists — depth of feature is not their strength.
