It also allows you to carry a small laptop or tablet. I also have a Dyota and frankly, it looks like a suitcase with shoulder straps to me, so I clearly prefer the Dalston for that very reason. It is lighter, less "professional" maybe, but so much cooler. And the Dalston may be "less professional" but I still expect it to withstand the usual amount of beating the F-Stop bags can withstand. This is not my first F-Stop, so when I mean "the usual amount", I mean "an awful lot". A couple of negatives now:- The ICU that comes with it is big enough for a DSLR and a good couple of lenses (although not for a big telephoto). When you only use rangefinders like me (Leica M), it is way too big. I would like to find smaller separators to partition the ICU more- Access to the bottom part of the bag from the side zips is not very easyAs a conclusion: A very good bag, I love it and expect it to be my new holiday partner. The only thing I miss is an outside pocket for my water bottle. Mon Jun 23 2025 12:12:32 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) Aaron Goodis Perfect Light Day Pack I find the Dalston to be the perfect light day pack for short hikes and city day trips! The DWR rip stop fabric is super durable and lightweight, also fairy water repellent. The side opening configuration took a bit to get used to but overall works pretty nicely! I carry an older Nikon D300s with a Nikon 35mm F1.8 and a Nikon 10-24mm F3.5-4 and lots of room for a extra layer and lunch. I definitely am very happy with the pack! However whenever I have an engagment shoot with a couple or a quick day trip where I wont be carrying much gear including my tripod or drone case then I reach for the Dalston. It is ideal for the mirrorless body and prime lenses. As you can see in the photos, the Dalston has a built in ICU that is accessible from both sides. The dividers can be adjusted and I did need to adjust the one near the base of the bag as the compartment was a tight squeeze between the divider and zip. However I can comfortably carry both my Nikon Z bodies, a 24 and 50mm prime lens and my 24-120 f4 zoom lens. There is ample room above the ICU for another few lenses, a jacket, filter case etc I use the rear compartment for my laptop and there is also a front zip compartment for whatever you need. I usually keep batteries in here with lens cloths, lens caps etc The bag is comfortable and easy to travel with. I have used it on street shoots in Lisbon, Venice and Milan and it felt more than adequate. The straps are narrow enough to house my peak design clip for easy access to my camera when I'm doing very much 'run and gun' style shooting. Overall I would highly recommend this bag if you are someone who likes to travel light and quick, a street shooter or even a landscape photographer who likes to keep things minimal. Even saying minimal seems like I'm doing the bag an injustice when you see the gear I could fit in it. It can fit a lot of stuff, including my M2 MacBook Air. I have used a Lokia UL 37L F-Stop bag as my number one carry-on for years, but this bag is small enough and light enough fit under the seat in front and carry a couple extra lenses and a body + all accessories. I’m currently shooting in Ladakh, India going to remote locations and this bag has really become a keeper on it’s first trip. The only thing missing is a tripod holder pocket and straps and it would be perfect. Sat Oct 22 2022 11:31:21 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) Jason Nolan Fantastic This is my second F-Stop bag. I started with a mountain series and now urban. Great in all weather conditions. Couldn't be happier! Mon Dec 13 2021 18:25:29 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) Zakie mashiah Fantastic everyday backpack Beautiful, solid, attention to details. Highly recommended. Works well with my Sony mirrorless, but I beleive would be tougher for DSLR to fit in. The bottom part is a hive for gear and upper part for accessories. The side zippers are excellent but hard to fit in even small lens to the very bottom part of the protective hive of the bag. I do it all the time, but it is not very convinient. Sun Nov 07 2021 09:37:54 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) Daniel Gj. Excelent backpack The backpack is really light but quite sturdy. Efficient design and holds just enough gear + few extra things for the day, Sat Sep 11 2021 10:39:34 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time) 0 53 Day Trial & Return
