# X-TYPE - Backpack The X-TYPE™ (pronounced ### cross-type ) is a true everyday backpack capable for the city to the outdoors, 7 days a week. Compact in size for daily use, yet our signature expandable front compartment provides for that added space when needed for a weekend getaway to the outdoor trails. In addition, X-TYPE has countless pockets to store and organize your carry essentials for any occasion. And the clam-shell opening allows for easy access/packing. For those that prefer to set yourself further apart, X-TYPE is also available with our all-new hybrid colors; Tropic, Arid and Daybreak. All 4 colors come with our newly custom-designed orange camo inner lining made using recycled ripstop fabric. And to further push towards a more sustainable design philosophy, X-TYPE will be our first to incorporate the use of ECOPAK™ fabric, replacing the previous X-Pac® material for the front compartment. This is paired with our tried and tested Cordura® fabric for the main body, which has also been upgraded to a recycled nylon. ECOPAK™ features a similar diamond-shaped pattern like the X-Pac®. But, it is the world’s only durable and waterproof fabric made from 100% recycled polyester fiber and film. And a PFC-free (C0) DWR coating is used, which is more environmentally friendlier than traditional water repellent coatings. And ECOPAK™ fabric lasts longer, absorbs 80% less moisture, and has better UV resistance and color retention than traditional laminated nylon. We will gradually incorporate the ECOPAK™ with other styles in the near future.
